The Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC), in collaboration with the BFA-Fairfax Guidance Department, has scheduled a Paying for College presentation at the school on Wednesday, October 29th, at 6:30 p.m. The session is free and open to the public.
The presentation, which normally runs between 90 minutes and two hours, provides students and their parents with information on financial aid and other resources available to pay for college. Time is allotted for questions.
Among the topics covered are types of financial aid, ways to apply, how family contribution is calculated, how financial aid is awarded, student and parent loans, and alternative payment options. Use the link on the right of this page to preview the presentation.
The PSAT is the practice SAT and will be offered to interested 10th and 11th graders on Wed Oct 29th. The cost is $18 and sign up is available in the Guidance Office.
The PLAN is the practice ACT test and this will be given to all 10th graders free of charge on Thurs Nov 13th.
